My main post at this time is as Director of Studies at International House in Riga where I manage the teaching staff of one of the largest private language schools in Latvia.

I am also involved in a number of projects:

I am the founder of the The English Ideas Project which is working to develop a better pedagogical grammar of English.

As the Chief Lexicographer for a web-based police dictionary project with the Estonian Sisekaitseakadeemia and Latvian Police Academy, I am maintaining my links with the wonderful people I worked with during the Peacekeeping English Project I managed for the British Council in Estonia (2001-6).

I am an e-moderator for the British Council Learning Technologies on-line course.

I am also a member of the board of the Latvian Association of Teachers of English: LATE
